Ganjam CDO Files Police Complaint Against Asika MLA Saroj Padhi Over Alleged Misbehaviour, Threats

Bhubaneswar: A political row has erupted in Odisha after Ganjam Chief Development Officer (CDO) Samir Kumar Jena lodged a police complaint against Asika MLA Saroj Padhi, alleging misbehaviour and threats.
The dispute reportedly arose over the distribution of emergency relief following recent flood and storm damage
in the district. The disagreement between the MLA and the administrative officer allegedly escalated, prompting Jena to seek police intervention and protection.
Following the complaint, MLA Saroj Padhi visited the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in Bhubaneswar. Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari was also present at a meeting convened to discuss the issue and address the standoff between the elected representative and the district administration.
The state government is monitoring the development amid growing reactions from administrative and political circles.
