Lakshya Sen Wins Hylo Open Super 500 Title, Completes India’s Golden Double

New Delhi: India’s Lakshya Sen clinched the men’s singles title at the Hylo Open Super 500 badminton tournament, defeating Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie in straight games in the final in Saarbrücken, Germany, on Sunday.
The Indian shuttler registered a commanding 21-17, 21-10 victory to claim the title and complete a golden double for India, with compatriot PV Sindhu having earlier won the women’s singles crown.
Lakshya dominated proceedings with aggressive smashes and sharp net play, overcoming Christie, against whom he had lost three of their previous four encounters.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games champion maintained his momentum throughout the contest, sealing the second game comfortably to secure the title.
The victory adds another major trophy to Lakshya’s career, following his Australian Open triumph and runner-up finish at the Hong Kong Open in 2025.
