Father-Son Duo Electrocuted to Death While Working in Field in Khordha

Balugaon: A father and his son died after being electrocuted while working in an agricultural field at Haripur village under Nachuni police limits in Odisha’s Khordha district.

The deceased have been identified as Rabindra Guru and his son Pabitra Guru, both residents of Haripur village.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday evening when the duo had gone to the field for agricultural work. Rabindra reportedly came in contact with an electric wire near the field and suffered an electric shock. In an attempt to rescue his father, Pabitra also came in contact with the live wire and was electrocuted.

Both died on the spot.

On being informed, Nachuni police reached the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them to Tangi Medical for further procedures. An investigation into the incident is underway.

The tragic deaths of the father and son have cast a pall of gloom over Haripur village.
