Odisha to Appoint 2,067 Teachers and Health Workers at 18th Nijukti Mela

The Odisha government is preparing to conduct its 18th State-Level Nijukti Mela on November 1, with appointment letters set to be distributed to 2,067 newly selected candidates.

The appointments have been made through the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC). The selected candidates include Sevaks, Sevikas and teachers recruited to impart education in tribal languages.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will attend the programme as the chief guest and formally hand over appointment letters to the successful candidates, marking their entry into government service.

The recruitment drive is expected to strengthen educational facilities in tribal and remote parts of the state, particularly by addressing staff shortages in schools and promoting education in children’s mother tongues.

Of the total 2,067 appointees, approximately 1,000 will receive their letters at the main ceremony in Bhubaneswar. The remaining candidates will collect their appointment letters at their respective district headquarters.

The authorities have also started notifying selected candidates about the event and related arrangements through SMS and WhatsApp messages on their registered mobile numbers.
