Gold Gets Cheaper Again; Prices Fall by Rs 1,400 in Delhi

Gold Falls by Rs 1,400 in Delhi, Silver Drops Rs 2,000 per Kg

Gold prices declined again on Monday, with 99.9% pure gold in Delhi falling by Rs 1,400 to Rs 1.53 lakh per 10 grams, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Silver prices also slipped by Rs 2,000 per kg to Rs 2,26,500.

The decline in domestic gold prices came amid a fall in international bullion prices and a strengthening Indian rupee. The rupee gained 96 paise against the US dollar to close at Rs 95.75 on Monday, marking its biggest single-day rise in more than six months.

According to commodity analysts, a stronger dollar and developments in global energy markets have influenced precious metal prices. International gold prices fell to around $4,179 per ounce, while expectations of increased Russian energy supplies eased immediate concerns over crude oil supply.
