Odisha bandh: DElEd exam to continue as scheduled at 64 centres

Bhubaneswar: Despite the 12-hour Odisha bandh called by the INDIA bloc, the Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) examination will be held as scheduled, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has clarified.
A total of 12,125 candidates are appearing for the examination at 64 centres across all 30 districts of the state. The DElEd examination is scheduled to continue from October 3 to October 16.
The FC-1 (C/E) paper will be conducted today in a single sitting from 9 am to 12 noon.
In view of possible transport disruptions due to the bandh, the BSE has advised candidates to reach their examination centres by 8 am.
BSE President Srikant Tarai said there has been no change in the examination schedule and urged candidates to reach their centres on time and appear for the examination as scheduled.
