Veteran Actor Nana Patekar Dies at 75 After Cardiac Arrest in Goa

Veteran Bollywood and Marathi actor Nana Patekar died on Thursday after suffering a severe cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. According to preliminary information, the actor was found unconscious at home and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Doctors declared Patekar dead at around 5:20 am. Medical personnel reportedly made sustained efforts to revive him for nearly 45 minutes after his arrival at the hospital, but he did not respond to treatment.
Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital, said that despite continuous CPR for approximately 45 minutes, the actor could not be revived. An MLC (medico-legal case) has been registered, and a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted.


Further details regarding the circumstances surrounding his death are awaited. His family and authorities have not yet released a detailed official statement.
Nana Patekar was among the most respected names in Indian cinema. With a career spanning several decades, he earned widespread recognition for his powerful performances in both Hindi and Marathi films, leaving a lasting mark on Indian cinema.
