Live Near a Toll Plaza? Get a ₹350 Monthly Pass

Frequent toll payments can be a burden for people living near highways and expressways, especially those who cross the same toll plaza regularly. To ease this problem, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has digitised the process for applying for a local toll pass.

Local residents can now apply for the pass from home through the RajmargYatra app. The pass costs ₹350 per month and allows eligible residents to cross the concerned toll plaza multiple times during the month without paying toll charges each time.
Who is eligible?
The facility is available to vehicle owners whose residence is within 20 km of the concerned toll plaza. A valid FASTag on the vehicle is also mandatory.
Applicants’ eligibility will be verified digitally through government platforms such as DigiLocker and VAHAN. GIS-based technology will also be used to confirm whether the applicant’s address falls within the 20-km limit.
How does the pass work?
Once approved, the local pass will be digitally linked to the vehicle’s FASTag. The toll system will identify the FASTag and allow passage based on the pass’s validity.

The 20-km eligibility limit is aimed at providing relief specifically to genuine local residents who frequently use the same toll plaza for their daily travel.
