CM Mohan Charan Majhi to Lead Odisha’s State-Level Independence Day Celebrations

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will unfurl the National Flag and receive the ceremonial salute during the state-level Independence Day celebrations in Bhubaneswar on August 15, as per the programme finalised by the state government.

Deputy Chief Ministers K V Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will lead the Independence Day celebrations in Kalahandi and Sundargarh, respectively.

Several state ministers have also been assigned to attend and lead the celebrations in different districts.

Suresh Pujari will hoist the National Flag in Cuttack, while Rabi Narayan Naik will attend the programme in Angul. Nityananda Gond has been assigned to Malkangiri and Krushna Chandra Patra to Sambalpur.

The celebrations in Ganjam will be led by Prithiviraj Harichandan, while Mukesh Mahaling will attend the programme in Rayagada. Bibhuti Bhusan Jena and Krushna Chandra Mahapatra have been assigned to Kandhamal and Khordha, respectively.

Other ministers have also been given district-level responsibilities. Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia will attend the Independence Day function in Puri, while Suryabanshi Suraj will be present in Balangir and Pradeep Bal Samanta in Baleshwar.

Similarly, Gokulananda Mallik will lead the celebrations in Gajapati, while Sampad Chandra Swain has been assigned to Koraput.

In districts where ministers have not been deputed, senior administrative officers will oversee the Independence Day programmes.

The RDC, Central Division, will attend the celebrations in Jagatsinghpur, while the RDC, Southern Division, will be present at the programme in Brahmapur.

District Collectors have been assigned to lead the celebrations in Baragarh, Bhadrak, Boudh, Debagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Subarnapur.

Meanwhile, the Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Rourkela, will attend the Independence Day celebrations in Rourkela.

The state government has finalised the arrangements to ensure that Independence Day celebrations are held across all districts on August 15 with the participation of elected representatives and senior officials.
