Man detained for allegedly raping minor niece in Bhadrak

Bhadrak: In a shameful incident, a man has been arrested on charges of raping his minor niece inside their house in Odisha’s Bhadrak district . The case was reported from Jena Sahi in Jagannathpur under Bhadrak Town Police station limits.

As per the complaint, the man allegedly took benefit of the absence of other family members of the house and raped the minor.

The incident came to light only when the minor girl informed her family members after they returned home.

Following which, the victim and family reported the police in connection with the matter.

On receiving information, the Bhadrak Town Police has arrested the accused, identified as Sinu Murmu.

Police has initiated an inquiry into the incident.

Police also conducted the medical examination of the girl and said to have recorded the victim girl’s statements.
Besides, cops have initiated the legal procedures to forward the accused persons to the court.
