Vigilance Conducts Multi-Location Raids on Senior Engineer

The Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday launched simultaneous raids at six locations linked to Rajesh Chandra Mohanty, an Additional Chief Engineer in the Central Irrigation Circle, Bhubaneswar. The action follows allegations of possession of assets disproportionate to known sources of income.
According to official sources, the searches are being conducted under valid warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack. The operation is being led by a senior team that includes one Additional Superintendent of Police, multiple Deputy Superintendents of Police, inspectors, assistant sub-inspectors, and supporting personnel.
The investigation is part of an ongoing effort to ensure transparency and accountability in public service. Authorities stated that the searches are aimed at gathering evidence related to suspected financial irregularities.
The raids are currently underway at the following locations:
- A triple-storeyed residential building in Baramunda Housing Board Colony, Bhubaneswar
- A paternal residence in Kolhasingh village, Jajpur district
- A relative’s house in Jubilee Town, Dhenkanal
- The official office chamber of the engineer in Bhubaneswar
- A double-storeyed building and farmhouse property in Bimbol, Bhapur area of Dhenkanal
- A residence linked to a close associate in Nayabazar, Cuttack
Officials confirmed that the searches are still in progress. Further details regarding the findings will be shared once the operation is complete.
