Bomb Threat Email to Odisha District Courts Triggers Panic; Security Tightened

Bhubaneswar: A bomb threat email sent to multiple district courts across Odisha, including the Bargarh Civil Court, triggered panic on Monday and prompted heightened security measures.
According to reports, the email warned of plans to blow up court premises. Following the alert, police personnel and bomb disposal squads rushed to the affected locations and carried out extensive searches.

As a precautionary measure, court premises were evacuated, and judges, lawyers and staff members were asked to vacate the buildings to ensure safety.
Police have launched an investigation into the source of the email. Preliminary suspicion suggests that the threat may be a hoax, similar to a previous bomb threat received on February 6.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over the safety and security of judicial institutions in the state, with authorities examining the motive behind such threats while maintaining strict vigilance across court complexes.
