Ollywood Singer Humane Sagar Remains Critical at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The health condition of popular Ollywood playback singer Humane Sagar, who is undergoing treatment in the Medical ICU of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, remains critical, his wife Sriya Mishra said on Monday.

According to Mishra, the singer was kept under strict observation for 72 hours. While his condition showed slight improvement during the first 48 hours, no progress has been seen in the last 24 hours. “He is still in a critical condition,” she said.

Not Fit for Airlift Yet

Mishra added that doctors will take a decision on shifting the singer to AIIMS-Delhi or any other advanced medical facility only after there is noticeable improvement. “His condition is not suitable for airlift now. The doctors will decide once his health stabilises,” she said.

During initial medical evaluation, Humane Sagar was diagnosed with multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, and dilated cardiomyopathy with severe LV systolic dysfunction. The 36-year-old singer has been placed on ventilator support.

Chief Minister Reviews Treatment

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the singer’s health condition two days ago. He spoke to doctors at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and instructed them to provide the best possible treatment. The Chief Minister also said that the singer would be shifted to AIIMS-Delhi if required.

Meanwhile, noted Odia singer Bishnu Mohan Kabi visited AIIMS-Bhubaneswar to check on Humane Sagar’s condition. He urged the people of Odisha to pray for the singer’s speedy recovery and appealed to everyone to stay away from intoxicants.
