Singer Abhijit Majumdar Still in Coma, Condition Critical: AIIMS

Bhubaneswar: Renowned singer and music composer Abhijit Majumdar continues to remain in a coma, with no significant improvement in his health condition despite ongoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar.

According to the hospital’s latest health bulletin, Abhijit is currently on spontaneous mode ventilator support, and while his vitals are stable, his neurological condition remains unchanged.

Doctors at AIIMS conducted an MRI brain scan on October 23 to evaluate his progress, but the results showed no major improvement. The medical team continues to provide supportive care and is making efforts to gradually wean him off the ventilator.

It may be recalled that the popular singer was admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack on August 27 after developing health complications following a Ganesh Puja event. As his condition worsened, he was moved to another private hospital’s ICU and later shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on September 4.

At AIIMS, doctors diagnosed Abhijit with hypertension, hypothyroidism, chronic liver disease, and neurological complications.

The medical team continues to monitor his condition closely, while fans and well-wishers across Odisha pray for his recovery.
