YouTuber couple fined Rs 11,000 for filming reels in moving car

Sambalpur: A YouTuber couple was fined Rs 11,000 on charges of violating the traffic norms and filming reels in a moving car without wearing seat belts in Odisha’s Sambalpur district.

The Sambalpur Regional Transport Office (RTO) reportedly imposed the fine on the YouTuber couple, who has been identified as Aswini Kumar Sahoo and Lilabati Pradhan, after it found them flouting the traffic norms and shooting videos recklessly.

Meanwhile, several reels of the couple have now come to the fore in which the couple can be clearly seen violating the traffic norms. Aswini Kumar Sahoo, in a video, can be seen stranding on the roof of a running vehicle without any safety measures while another person was filming him.

In another video which also has now gone viral and for which the fine has been imposed on the couple, Lilabati Pradhan can be seen driving the four-wheeler by sitting on the lap of Aswini Kumar Sahoo, who was on the driver’s seat. Besides, four children were present in the vehicle but allegedly none of them had worn the seatbelt.

It is said that the viral video clip was filmed between Rairakhol and Sambalpur while they were traveling in a Mahindra Scorpio on National Highway No 55.

Taking a serious note of the viral reels, the Sambalpur RTO imposed the hefty fine on the owner of the vehicle and reportedly advised them not to repeat the same in the future.

On the other hand, both Lilabati Pradhan and Aswini Kumar Sahoo confessed to have violated the traffic norms and paid the fine as per the law. Besides, they promised not to repeat the same in the future and appealed their viewers and general public not to film such reels but follow all the traffic rules.
