Two minors of family die after falling into well

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Nayagarh, July 3: Tragedy struck a family in Nihalprasad village under Bhapur Block of the district as two minor boys of the same family died after falling into a well today.

The deceased have been identified as Somnath Behera and Rajesh Behera.

The cousins were playing near a school in the village with two other kids when the incident occurred.

Later, the kids who were playing with the victims informed their family members following which some villagers rushed to the spot and rescued the kids from the well. Subsequently, the villagers took the kids to a nearby hospital where the doctor declared them dead.

A pall of gloom has descended in the village after the incident. More details in the case awaited.
