Train engine rolls on Haridaspur- Paradip track on trial

Surjit Kumar Dhal Jajpur, June 30: A train engine rolled on Saturday on the 82 kilometer long Haridaspur- Paradip railway line covering Jajpur, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts.
“We rolled out a railway tower engine from Haridaspur to Kendrapara on Saturday for testing the electricity connection of the railway line., said Prasant Kumar Mishra Managing Director of of Haridaspur – Paradip Railway line Project.
He said already 64 kilometer track has been laid and the remaining portion will be completed soon.
“All the works will be completed by December,” he asserted.
With the completion of the line, the distance by rail between Daitari-Banspani iron ore belt and Paradip port will be reduced almost by half, he added.
