Suryabanshi Suraj Meets Union Sports Minister to Boost Odisha’s Sports Development

New Delhi: Odisha Sports and Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Friday met Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports in the national capital to discuss key initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s sporting ecosystem.

During the meeting, the two leaders deliberated on expanding sports infrastructure across Odisha, improving training facilities, and creating greater opportunities for aspiring athletes. The discussions also focused on accelerating sports development through enhanced cooperation between the Centre and the State.

Highlighting Odisha’s growing prominence in Indian sports, Suryabanshi Suraj said the state is committed to nurturing young talent and providing world-class facilities for sportspersons.

He further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the state is taking significant strides toward establishing itself as a leading sporting destination in the country, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure development and youth empowerment.
