‘Subhadra Shakti’ Fair to Begin in Odisha from Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The ‘Subhadra Shakti’ fair is set to commence tomorrow in Odisha, with participation from self-help group (SHG) women across the state. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced this on Friday.
For the first time, the state government will organize this fair at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. Self-help groups and producer groups from various parts of the state will showcase their products at the event, with over 300 stalls displaying a wide range of handmade and organic goods.

The nine-day exhibition, running until March 2, will feature diverse handicrafts and organic products. Additionally, the fair will be held simultaneously in Puri, Malkangiri, Sambalpur, and Balangir.
According to the Deputy Chief Minister, the event aims to connect rural women entrepreneurs with buyers, businesses, and markets, thereby fostering economic opportunities for SHG members.
