State government honour 15,000 meritorious students with free laptops

Bhubaneswar: The State Government has initiated the process for distribution of free laptops to 15,000 meritorious students who have cleared the 2019 annual Plus II examinations in various streams this year. The students will get laptops under Biju Sashakti karan Yojana.

This year, the authorities made change in selection criteria under 5T  programme to make transparency. As per the official notification, Instead of choosing top 15,000 students at state level in different streams and categories, top students from each district in different streams have been selected by the selection committee constituted by the state government.
