Similipal National Park Closed For Tourists

Baripada (Reporters Today Bureau): The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj was closed for tourists for indefinite period due to unseasonal rain and fog. The national park will remain closed with effect from today i.e. November 15 till further order, informed Similipal National Park Deputy Director Sai Kiran D.N.

Barely a fortnight after reopening of the wildlife sanctuary for visitors, entry into the park was restricted due to rainfall and fog.

The park had reopened for tourists from November 1 with COVID restrictions after six-month-long closure since May this year due to upsurge in daily infections in second wave of pandemic.
