Separating conjoined twin girls in Dhenkanal near ‘Impossible’

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Cuttack: the separation of the conjoined twin girl is near impossible as both have a single heart, said experts.
They said this case is unlike the Jaga-Kalia case who were joined in the heads and subsequently separated by experts at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi.
Notably, the twin girls were born in Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Monday.
The healthy twins are joined from chest to stomach and weigh around four kilograms, informed the doctors.
The girls have since been shifted to Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack for further treatment.
