Rare white cobra rescued in Daruthenga

Bhubaneswar: A rare huge white cobra was rescued from a house on the outskirts of the capital city of Odisha on Thursday. The rare snake was spotted in the Shyamasundarpur village under Daruthenga Panchayat of Khordha district.
As per reports, the huge snake slithered into the backyard of the house of Bhaskara Muduli in the morning hour of today. The family members first witnessed the snake and alerted others. Soon, the neighbours and people on the road rushed to the spot to witness the rare snake. It was seen that the huge snake, after seeing the crowd tried to hide itself somewhere. However, by then he already caught a frog.
Meanwhile the family members called for the snake helpline members. The snake catchers then reached the village from Daruthenga and rescued the snake. It was observed that the snake was a rare white cobra that measured about 7 feet long.
The snake catchers then took the cobra with them and later released it to its natural habitat at a lonely place into the Chandaka forest.
