Puri: Lord Jagannath, siblings Recover after Herbal Treatment, Servitors to Inform Gajapati of His Good Health

Puri: Lord Jagannath is recovering well. After receiving the Dashamula herbal medicine prepared by the Rajavaidya, the Royal physician, Mahaprabhu is now healthy.  Today, servitors will formally inform the Gajapati Maharaja about the Lord’s recovery.

On the occasion of Dwadashi tithi, the Daitapati servitors will execute this ritual.  After the Sakala Dhupa ritual at the Shrimandira, the Jay-Vijay doors will be closed and the Beherana Dwar will open.

Then the Rajaprasad will be taken from Shri Mandira to Shri Nahar, the the Royal Palace of Puri Gajapati.  The Daitapati and Vidyapati servitors will carry karala, chandan and patta vastra as Prasad from Shri Mandir to Shri Nahar. There, along with Gajapati Maharaja, there will be discussions regarding the smooth and disciplined management of the upcoming Rath Yatra.

Yesterday, on Ekadashi tithi, the Lord consumed Khalilagi and Dashamula Modak and has now made a complete recovery.

Meanwhile, strict guidelines have been issued by the Shri Mandir administration for the orderly conduct of Rath Yatra.

No servitors in disguise will be allowed on the three chariots. Devotees will not be allowed to climb onto the chariots with the help of any servitor. Use of mobile phones on the chariots is strictly prohibited

This announcement brings relief to devotees as the preparations for Rath Yatra gain momentum.
