Pujahari quits Congress

Surjit Kumar Dhal, Bhubaneswar, July 1: Former VIMSAR director Dr Ashwini Pujahari, who joined Congress and contested the Sambalpur Assembly seat unsuccessfull during the 2019 General Election, has resigned from the primary membership of the party.

 Pujahari said his dicesion followed after some party workers humiliated him during a review meeting held at the District Congress Committee few days ago.

Notably, Pujahari had joined the Congress on March 24, a month after resigning as Director of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.

Last year on December, Pujahari had been served a show-cause notice after a video of him using unproven therapies for treatment with salt during a surgery had emerged.

He was in news after a sting operation on his method of surgery
