Online Booking Launched for PWD IBs in Bhubaneswar, Puri & Konark

Bhubaneswar: People can now book rooms at Public Works Department (PWD) Inspection Bungalows (IBs) in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark through a dedicated online portal. Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Wednesday launched the ‘e-IB’ portal to digitise and streamline the booking process in these key urban centres.

The Works Department said the platform has been introduced to simplify room booking and allotment through a user-friendly digital interface. The facility will benefit both government officials and members of the general public who require accommodation at PWD Inspection Bungalows.

The new system offers online booking and cancellation options, access to all booking-related information at a single point, and the ability to check room availability from anywhere. Users can also track the status of their bookings and allotments in real time.

Officials stated that the initiative will make the process more transparent and accountable compared to the earlier manual system. It is also expected to reduce delays and provide services in a more efficient and convenient manner.

Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark are among Odisha’s most visited destinations, attracting tourists throughout the year. The introduction of the online portal is expected to make accommodation access easier for visitors to these cities.
