Odisha Vigilance Raids Properties Linked to R&B Engineer in DA Case

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance Department on Monday launched simultaneous raids at six locations linked to Bhubaneswar Sabar, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the R&B Division in Bhawanipatna, over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The searches are being conducted following allegations of accumulation of disproportionate assets and based on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatna.

According to Vigilance officials, multiple teams comprising six DSPs, eight Inspectors, and other supporting staff have been deployed for the operation.

The raids are currently underway at several locations linked to the engineer, including a double-storeyed residential building at Gosanimunda in Bhawanipatna town and another double-storeyed building at his native village Kusumkhunti under Koksara block in Kalahandi district.

Searches are also being conducted at a farmhouse located at Kitpadar near Bhawanipatna and an under-construction building at Duarsuni on the outskirts of the town.

Apart from residential properties, Vigilance teams are also searching his office premises in Bhawanipatna and the government residential quarters allotted to him at the PWD Colony in Bhawanipatna.

Officials said the searches are still in progress and detailed information regarding the recovery of assets, documents, cash, or other valuables will be released after completion of the operation.
