Odisha Deputy CM Pays Tribute to Armed Forces on First Anniversary of Operation Sindoor

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo on Thursday paid tribute to the Indian Armed Forces on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, describing the mission as a “sacred covenant” dedicated to protecting the nation and its people.
In a statement shared on social media, Singh Deo praised the courage, discipline, and sacrifice displayed by the armed forces during the operation.

“As we commemorate the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, I offer a solemn salute to the indomitable courage, discipline, and sacrifice that defined this mission. It was far more than an operation — it was a sacred covenant to protect our people, uphold the dignity of service, and reaffirm our nation’s collective resolve against adversity,” he stated.
The Deputy Chief Minister further said that over the past year, Operation Sindoor has emerged as a symbol of resilience, unity, and national strength. He noted that the operation reflected the spirit and honour of those who serve the country selflessly.
“Today, we cherish their valour, we celebrate their legacy, and we renew our pledge to walk the path they illuminated — with integrity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to our Matrubhoomi,” Singh Deo added.
Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Armed Forces on May 7 last year following a major terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The operation involved precision strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Pakistan, underscoring India’s zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism.
The Deputy CM’s remarks echoed sentiments being observed across the country on the anniversary of the military operation.
