Naveen, Shah hold road shows in Cuttack

Reporterstoday, Cuttack, April 18:  BJD Supremo Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday held road show in Cuttack seeking vote for his party nominees for Barabati-Cuttack, Choudwar-Cuttack and Cuttack Sadar Assembly segments.

                After landing from a helicopter at Naraj Helipad, Patnaik started his road show from Montessori Gada along with the party candidates and workers at 4PM.

His road show reached Press Chhak via sector, 6, 8,9 and 10, Satichaura, Shelter Chhak, Manisahu Chhak, Matamatha, Ring Road, College Square, Bajrakabati, Madhupatna, Mahanadi Vihar, Pota Pokhari, Nuabazar, Sompur, Kantuar, Kaijanga, 42 Mauza, Jhinkiria covering the areas of the three Assembly constituencies.

The Chief Minister was welcomed by huge crowds on the way.

While making road show, Patnaik is also held roadside meeting for two minutes duration at prominent intersections like sector-7, Kanika Chhak, Chandi Chhak, Buxi Bazar, Ranihat, Dolamundai, Badambadi, Sikharpur, Justice Chhak, Kandarpur and Ghatkul.

Addressing from the high-tech bus, Patnaik started his speech with Jai Jagannath… Priya Bhai O Bhauni mane.. “I have come to your Cuttack… Are you happy? I am very much happy,” asked Patnaik to the people in his typical style.

Telling people to bless him, he also urged the people to cast vote in favour of party’s MLA and MP candidates by pressing the Sankha(Cunch) button.

While performing road show, Patniak had made a darsan and sought blessings of Godess ‘Katak Chandi’, the presiding deity of the Millennium city.

 MLA nominees for Barabati-Cuttack Debasis Samantaray, Choudwar-Cuttack Saubhik Biswal and Cuttack Sadar Chandra Sarathi Behera had accompanied the road show in their respective areas along with MP nominee Bhatruhari Mahatab.

 Similarly, after addressing a public meeting at Narasinghpur in the district, BJP National President Amit Shah too held a road show at 8.30 PM to boost party prospect in the city.

While making road show from Gauri Shankar Park to Chandi Chhak via Jail road, Dargha Bazar, Chudhury Bazar, Chandni Chowk, Mohammadia Bazar and Shaikh Bazar, Shah had urged people to vote for party’s MP nominee for Cuttack Prakash Mishra and nominee for Barabati-Cuttack Assembly constituency Samir Dey.
