Journalists undertake plantation around Jeypore DHQH

Reporters Today, JEYPORE, JULY 2: The barren land around the Dist Headquarters Hospital (DHQH), Jeypore today witnessed massive plantation as part of a programme initiated by local journalists led by social activist Paresh Rath.

On the occasion of Doctors Day, renowned social activist Rath led Prakash Dash, local bureau chief of Prameya, Pramod Patnaik, bureau chief of Sambad and Prasanta Kumar Bishoyi, senior journalist of Political and Business Daily took initiative for launching the programme in which more than hundred saplings were planted over the barren land around the hospital.

            Among others, Kartik Rout, Kirti Maharana and Susanta Maharana participated in the programme.

A lot of medicinal plants were also planted inside the hospital.

MS Swaminathan Research Foundation took the initiative for plantation of the medicinal plants.
