IIT Bhubaneswar Launches Cybersecurity MTech for Professionals

Bhubaneswar: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar has announced the launch of an industry-linked MTech programme in cybersecurity aimed at engineers and professionals working across various sectors.

According to an official statement issued by the institute, the programme is scheduled to commence on July 24, while applications for eligible candidates are currently open.

The programme has been developed in collaboration with WhizHack Technologies and is specifically designed to cater to working professionals through a flexible blended-learning model.

The institute said the course will combine academic learning with practical industry exposure, enabling participants to build advanced cybersecurity capabilities required to address emerging digital threats.

The curriculum will include topics such as secure system design, cyber risk assessment, governance and compliance, AI-driven security, blockchain security, and advanced attack-defence strategies.

IIT Bhubaneswar further stated that candidates seeking admission to the programme will not be required to qualify through GATE. Instead, selection will be based on academic qualifications and relevant professional experience.
