ICDS Supervisor in Vigilance Radar

Nuapada (Reporters Today Bureau): Odisha Vigilance today nabbed a woman Integrated Child Development Services official after she was caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 80,000 for an Anganwadi job here.

Harshamani Dei, the Supervisor of ICDS, Chatiaguda Sector under Sinapali Block in Nuapada district, was apprehended while demanding and accepting the bribe amount from a complainant for appointment of his sister as Anganwadi Worker.

The accused had earlier demanded Rs 1 lakh from the complainant. Later, the amount was reduced to Rs 80,000 during negotiation between Dei and the complainant. Further details awaited.
