Huge 8-feet-long crocodile spotted in pond

Rajnagar: In a shocking incident, a eight-feet-long crocodile was spotted in a pond in Kendrapara distrct of Odisha, said reliable reports on Tuesday. The crocodile was found by the locals in the village pond, much to their shock.
According to reports, the eight-feet-long crocodile was rescued from the pond later. The reptile was rescued from the pond of Rabindra Mohanty of Pentha village in Rajnagar block.
After being rescued, it was left in the wild near the Haveli Creek near Gupti in Bhitarkanika National Park. It is believed that the crocodile entered the pond from a nearby canal.
It is worth mentioning here that, Rabindra had complained to the forest department four days ago that the crocodile had eaten a goat. However back then, the forest officials were able to catch the crocodile even though they had laid a net to capture it.
Notably, as many as five crocodiles have been rescued from Pentha and Endulapur villages in Rajnagar block in the last three months. The locals are terrified with such frequent crocodile spotting inside the village.
Recently on July 26, a seven-feet-long giant crocodile was rescued from a pond in Kendarpara. The giant crocodile has been rescued from a pond in Endulapur village of Rajnagar, Kendrapara district in Odisha.
According to reports, the crocodile had entered the pond of Dibakar Sethi of the village. Dibakar informed the Rajnagar Forest Department about this. The crocodile rescue team of the Forest Department reached the spot and rescued the giant crocodile with the help of a net.
Later, the crocodile was released near the Haveli Creek. The locals were scared as they spotted the crocodile so close to them.
