Heavy rainfall disrupts normal life in Odisha, 13 districts on alert

(Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar): A cyclonic circulation lies over south Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood and under its impact, several Odisha districts will further experience enhanced rainfall activity in the next 24 hours, the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.
Heavy rainfall and thunderstorm alert has been issued for 13 districts of the State. The weather department said that the rain will continue for the next 24 hours. Orange warning with heavy rainfall alert Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Dhenkanal districts has been issued by Met Centre.
Constant rainfall since Tuesday morning has led to severe waterlogging in several low lying areas of Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri disrupting vehicular traffic and hitting normal life.
