Former MLA Jiban Pradip Das Quits BJP Two Days After Joining

Bhubaneswar: Former MLA and BJP leader Jiban Pradip Das resigned from the party’s primary membership just two days after joining it from the BJD, expressing strong dissatisfaction with the party’s recent decisions.
Speaking at a press conference, Das alleged that the BJP has deviated from its principles of value-based politics. He questioned the party leadership over the induction of a person accused in a chit fund scam.

“BJP has moved away from value-based politics. How was the accused of a chit fund scam inducted into the party?” Das said while addressing the media.
He further claimed that the morale within the party has declined since it came to power in 2024.
Das, however, said he has not yet decided his future political course of action.
