Fisherman Dies in Trawler Accident Off Dhamara Coast

Bhubaneswar: A fisherman died while fishing aboard a deep-sea trawler off the Dhamara coast in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, police said on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Nrusinha Dalei, a resident of Rangani village in Kendrapara district. He was a member of the crew engaged in deep-sea fishing when the incident occurred.

According to preliminary reports, Dalei allegedly got entangled in a machine on the trawler due to negligence, leading to his death. His body was later recovered from the vessel.

Following the incident, Dhamara Maritime Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. The body was seized and sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Further investigation is underway.
