Eminent Odia Cine Producer Keshab Rout Passes Away

Surjit Kumar Dhal Cuttack, June 30: Keshab Rout, veteran cine producer and President of Odisha Film Producer’s Association, passed away in his residence at Shankarpur area, Cuttack on Sunday morning after suffering a massive cardiac arrest.

He was 68.

Rout is known in the Odia film industry for producing several television serials and movies like ‘Santan’, ‘Bhisma Pratigyan’, ‘Suna Chadhei’ and ‘Suna Harini’.

He was also the executive committee member of Utkal Cine Chamber of Commerce (UCCC).

His death has left behind a void in the industry that cannot be filled. Several film actors, directors and producers rushed to the veteran’s residence to pay their last respects to the departed soul.
