‘Drishyam 3’ Opens to Rs 95.10 Crore Worldwide on Day 1

Mumbai: Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has recorded a strong opening at the global box office, earning an estimated Rs 95.10 crore worldwide on its first day, according to trade website Sacnilk.

The film collected Rs 66.75 crore nett in India on Friday across 15,759 shows. Its India gross stood at Rs 80.10 crore, while overseas markets contributed an estimated Rs 15 crore.

The Abhishek Pathak directorial recorded 67.08% overall occupancy for Hindi 2D shows. After a slower morning, audience turnout increased through the day, with night shows registering the highest occupancy at 76.46%.

Biggest opening for an Ajay Devgn film

With its Rs 66.75 crore India nett collection, Drishyam 3 has recorded the biggest opening for an Ajay Devgn-led film, surpassing Singham Again (Rs 43.70 crore), Singham Returns (Rs 32.09 crore) and Golmaal Again (Rs 30.14 crore).

The film has also surpassed the opening-day collections of its predecessors. Drishyam (2015) opened at Rs 5.85 crore, while Drishyam 2 (2022) earned Rs 15.38 crore on Day 1.

Released on October 2, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion sees Ajay Devgn reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar. The crime thriller also stars Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat.
