Dense Fog Likely in Three Odisha Districts for Next Two Days: IMD

Bhubaneswar: Three districts of Odisha are likely to witness dense fog over the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.

According to the IMD forecast for December 18 and December 19, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, and Kandhamal districts are expected to experience dense fog conditions. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts.

“Dense fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Kandhamal,” the IMD said in its weather bulletin for both days.

Residents have been advised to exercise caution while commuting, particularly during early morning hours, as reduced visibility may affect road and rail traffic. The IMD has also predicted that dry weather is likely to prevail across the state during this period.
