Cold Wave to Return from January 23

(Pramit Pramathes) Bhubaneswar: The cold wave is set to return to the state from January 23. The night temperature is likely to drop by 1-3 degree across Odisha from January 23, IMD Bhubaneswar said.
“The temperature rose in the past few days due to westerly winds and decline of northerly winds that caused dense fog during midnight and morning across the state. However, the winter chill can be attributed to the prevalence of northerly winds in past two days for which the minimum temperature declined by 1-3 degree C,” said an official IMD Bhubaneswar.
While the dense fog will cover the districts included Angul, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Cuttack, Puri, Koraput and Malkangiri on January 22, the thick blanket of fog will affect normal life in Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Angul and Deogarh on 23rd January morning.
