Chandbali BDO Suspended

The Odisha government has suspended Chandbali Block Development Officer (BDO) Sanjib Kumar Mahapatra, an OAS-A (JB) officer, with immediate effect.
The Revenue and Disaster Management Department said disciplinary proceedings are being contemplated against Mahapatra. His services have also been withdrawn from the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department.

As per the suspension order issued in the Governor’s name under the OCS (CC&A) Rules, 1962, Mahapatra will remain headquartered at the Bhadrak Collectorate during the suspension. He cannot leave the headquarters without prior permission from the Bhadrak Collector.
He will receive subsistence allowance as prescribed under Rule 90 of the Odisha Service Code.
