Bombay Stock Exchange receives bomb threat

Mumbai: Bombay Stock Exchange received bomb threat via an email threatening to blow it up. The police were immediately informed. The email threat was received by BSE on Tuesday.

The threatening email was received from an email ID named Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan. The email threatened that 4RDX IED bombs have been placed in the tower building of the Bombay Stock Exchange and would explode at 3pm.

Case has been registered against an unknown person in Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg police station under sections 351(1)(b), 353(2), 351 (3), 351 (4) of BNS.

Further investigation has been initiated.

Meanwhile The Golden Temple in Punjab’s Amritsar received a bomb threat on Monday, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) said in a police complaint.

According to Amritsar police, bomb disposal squads (BDS), SGPC force and additional security forces have been deployed around the premises. Authorities have assured the public that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure safety and security.

The police have registered an FIR in the matter and launched an investigation.
