BJP Announces 40 Star Campaigners for Nuapada By-Election

Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced a list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Nuapada Assembly by-election, scheduled for November 11.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan lead the list, which also includes Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

Other key figures named as campaigners include BJP Odisha President Manmohan Samal, MP Baijayant Panda, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with several senior party leaders.

The BJP has also included prominent leaders from neighbouring Chhattisgarh—Arun Sao, Brijmohan Agrawal, and Rupkumari Choudhary—to strengthen its campaign.

The counting of votes will take place on November 14. The BJP has fielded Jay Dholakia, son of late BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia, as its candidate for the by-poll. Party sources said the star campaigners will play a vital role in reaching out to voters and boosting support for Dholakia’s candidature.
