Awareness campaign on diarrhea, malaria, dengue in Khordha dist

Reporters Today, Khordha, July 2: A three month long awareness campaign on diarrhea, malaria and dengue, with an objective to sensitise the people about these diseases and prevent deaths, was launched here by Chief District Medical and Public Health Officer Dr. Bijaya Kumar Mohapatra.
The CDMO said the campaign will continue till September 6.
During the period ASHA workers would move from door to door, distribute ORS packet to the people and tell them how and when to use, he added.
The ASHA workers would also apprise the people about dose and do not in the event of breaking out of diarrhea.
In the second phase awareness would be created about prevention of malaria and dengue.
During the period ASHA, Anganwadi and Women Health Workers will jointly teach people the needs of hand washing in all village schools, sanitation and cleaning of the areas would be undertaken at the Gaon Kalyan Samiti levels.
The CDMO directed the officials to implement the campaign with all sincerity.
