‘Asa School Jiba’ programme launched

Sambalpur: A special programme called ‘Asa school jiba’ has been organised in Sambalpur city to attract the school dropouts to complete their schooling. A rally was conducted in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of Panchayati Raj Rabi Naik.

On the lines of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), in order to provide education to One and All, this special awareness programme was launched. The rally began from Reserve Police ground and ended at Gangadhar Meher University.

The Government took this decision so that nobody is left behind in education. In lines with the theme of Basic Numeracy and literacy, this programme has been planned.

Sambalpur has the maximum number of school going students in the entire state of Odisha. However, as many as 3,100 have left school. The teachers and the District Education Officer (DEO) have been asked to bring back the dropouts to school.

School Education is important for the Union government’s aspiration of Vikshit Bharat. Thus, this programme was conducted to interact and attract with the students who have dropped out of schools.

It is worth mentioning here that, Liza Majhi, a resident of Uchakapata village of Bamra block in Sambalpur district, had cracked the coveted National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination (NEET) exam. She was studying at the Kasturaba Gandhi Ashram school and pursuing her education.

The ministers also shared her success story with the other students and interacted with them.
