Accident at Bhubaneswar Railway Station: Man gets trapped on track

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident a man got trapped on the track and lost his leg after a train crushed him. He has turned critical and been rushed to the hospital. The incident took place at the Railway Station in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha today morning.

The victim has been identified as Santosh Pradhan of Rambah area in Ganjam district.

As per the information received, the incident took place at Platform-2 at 6:30 am today (Thursday). He, somehow got trapped on the track when an approaching train ran over him.

Accordingly, his leg got amputed while he turned critical. He was rescued and immediately was admitted to Capital Hospital. However, as his health condition deteriorated, he was then shifted to SCB Medical College and hospital in Cuttack.
