Sonali Panda in news again

Bhubaneswar: Jatra actress Sonali Panda alias Kagji Palai in the news again. The 10 year old boy (claimed to be son of Sonali and Srikshetra) appeared in the case of a dispute between Sonali and Srikshetra Prasad Samanta Singhar.

As per reports, the minor boy appeared before the bench of the First Class Judicial Magistrate of the Child Welfare Committee. The boy has come out for his father. He has written a letter to the Krishna Prasad police station against Sonali Panda’s decision. The minor boy has mentioned that he will file a euthanasia application with the President, Prime Minister and High Court judge if his father is not needed (by her mother).

Meanwhile, keeping in mind the boy’s future and safety, he has been kept in a child care home. He was presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

It is to be noted that based on Sonali’s complaint, a zero FIR had been registered at the Balichandrapur police station in Jajpur on 3 August 2025. Since Sonali’s ancestral village is Krishna Prasad in Puri district, the case has been transferred to Puri.

In this complaint, Sonali has filed allegations of kidnapping and forced marriage against Shrikshetra Samanta Singhar. On that basis, yesterday, Puri police recorded Sonali’s 161 and 164 statement.

Shrikshetra Samanta Singhar will be called for questioning soon. Police will interrogate to find out when the marriage took place, in which school Sonali was studying in, her birth certificate, son’s school, authentic information, all these things.

Meanwhile, police are worried that the child’s future would be hampered due to the dispute between the father and mother. Therefore, the child was brought to Krishna Prasad police station from last night and kept in a child care centre and was presented before the child welfare committee today.
