Last rites of Balanga victim to be performed today

Bhubaneswar: The last rites of the Balanga victim, that is the minor girl will be performed at her native village in Puri district on Monday, said reliable reports.
The girl’s mortal remains will be taken to her native Bayabar village under Balanga Police station limits of Puri in a arcade amid tight security where the funeral rites will be performed.
The body of Balanga burn victim girl’s body arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar this evening.
The mortal remains of the 15-year-old girl was brought to Bhubaneswar from Delhi in flight no 6E 2201 of Indigo. Four members of her family came along with the body.
Heavy security arrangements had been made in front of the Bhubaneswar Airport to avoid any untoward incident. A total of six platoons of police forces had been deployed to maintain law and order.
The incident had caused a massive outrage in and outside Odisha with the opposition parities targeting the State government and alleging it of unable to provide security to the women and girls of the state.
Hence the Balanga victim last rites shall be performed today, reports confirmed.
