Three Held for Black Marketing ODI Tickets

Cuttack: Police on Thursday arrested three individuals in Cuttack for allegedly black-marketing tickets for the upcoming India vs England ODI match at Barabati Stadium on February 9.
According to reports, the accused were selling eight gallery tickets at inflated prices. They had posted photos of the physical tickets online to attract buyers. Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended them while they were handing over tickets to a buyer in the Buxi Bazaar area. Upon interrogation, the buyer confirmed that the tickets were being sold at exorbitant rates.
Police have seized the tickets, ₹30,000 in cash, mobile phones, and two motorcycles from the accused.
The high demand for the India-England match tickets has led to widespread chaos. On Wednesday, thousands of cricket fans rushed to purchase tickets at Barabati Stadium, resulting in a stampede-like situation. Authorities are now closely monitoring ticket sales to prevent further illegal activities.
