Producers approaching Netas for film production

Bhubaneswar, July 27(Reporters Today Bureau): It is well known that several films in the country have been made with the support and money of mafia dons and corrupt bureaucrats. Recently in West Bengal a starlet has been caught by the Enforcement Directorate and her production house is under its scanner. Even the controversial Godman Ram Rahim from Haryana was in news for producing films in which he acted along with one of his close female associates Honey Preet. But approaching netas, that too in a state like Odisha was unheard of.
It is a fact that several film makers do take help of people for producing a film. They seek financial support for their ventures. But approaching a politician was something very interesting and curious one.
Only recently a producer in Odisha approached a very influential BJD leader for support in producing a film. The leader is considered the number two in the party. So when he met Pranab Prakash Das the surprise was immense. People close to Das were stunned as to what prompted the producer to approach Das who spends nearly all his time thinking about strengthening the party and has little time for any other issues. People close to Das claim that he barely sleeps for four to five hours in a day.
But what is baffling the people is that how did the producer ever thought that Das will help , finance, or promote his venture even if it was on a theme revolving around the party, its work or the party chief Naveen Patnaik.
